Safety first! Under this motto, we held our first Safety Day on October 11, 2025. The aim of the event was to raise awareness of occupational safety and to train all employees together on the relevant topics of occupational, health and environmental protection.
The Safety Day was organized by the management together with the occupational safety specialist, the project managers and partners and took place on the MONTEC company premises.
In practical training units and workshops, all participants were comprehensively informed about legal requirements, internal safety guidelines, the correct handling of special equipment and the guidelines at the customers.
The contents of the day included:
– Working with cranes and load handling devices
-Personal protective equipment (PPE) and its application
-Special equipment such as machine jacks and heavy-duty chassis
-Safe handling of aerial work platforms and forklifts
– Correct handling of hazardous substances
“Safety is not only a duty, but also a responsibility towards our employees and customers,” emphasized Philip de Buhr, Managing Director of MONTEC GmbH. “With the Safety Day, we want to send a clear signal: The health of our workforce and safe working at our customers’ sites are our top priority.”
Positive feedback from the workforce
The feedback from the employees was consistently positive. Many praised the practical approach of the training courses and the opportunity to ask questions directly or contribute their own experiences. The event also offered a good opportunity to talk across departments and think together about safety-relevant topics.
The successful Safety Day should not remain a one-off event. We are planning to hold such events regularly in order to continuously contribute to improving occupational safety in the company.
